Rushing through Rajasthan

The streets in Rajasthan are bustling with people, livestock and every form of transport. The extraordinary colours are set against the monotone desert backdrop. These photographs were taken from the bus as we rushed along, a window onto a timeless world, rushing along in its own way. The long exposures create images in a way the eye doesn’t register and catches impressions for later contemplation. Ambiguity lies at the heart of the images, reflecting how we may view our own brief visits to this wonderful land.
