Neolithic

These Neolithic monuments have stood in quiet repose witness to the comings and goings of about 200 generations of human beings. Avebury is the largest stone circle in Europe, Silbury Hill at 30m high the tallest human-made mound in Europe and West Kennet Long Barrow one of the longest barrows in Britain at 100m long. And all around a mile from each other in Wiltshire. The bottom three photographs are shot by the light of the full moon. The middle picture was during the partial solar eclipse on March 20th 2015
